Access to all these performance improving features is provided via a user friendly, good looking interface. Seeing that it is only 1.4MB in size, downloading the Powersuite installer will not take long, not even if you have to contend with a lousy internet connection. When you run the aforementioned 1.4Mb installer, a setup wizard will show up – a few clicks later you will be done with the installation process. Speaking about that, it must be mentioned that Powersuite can be installed on Windows XP, Vista, 7, and 8 (it is compatible with all these Windows editions). Four tabs are presented in the upper left hand corner of the interface: Overview – see the status of the Active Speed Tools, start a scan (Quick or Deep Scan), see the results of the scan. Active Speed Tool – enable and disable several tools that automatically and continuously monitor your PC (PC Resource Optimizer, Software Launch Booster, Start Menu Software Accelerator, Proactive Thumbnail Generator). PC Optimization – disable applications that automatically launch at startup, fix Registry errors, remove old backups, find duplicates, and more. Settings – play with some General Settings, access a handy Scheduler, and Undo changes made to your system. Powersuite’s list of features includes the following: two types of scans (Quick and Deep Scan), balances resources used by software, improves application launch time, Start Menu software accelerator, preload thumbnail images, fix Registry errors, deactivate unused processes, optimize system settings, remove junk files, manage applications that run at startup, remove old backups, compress large files, find duplicate files, get the latest drivers, defragment your hard disk, defragment the Registry, automatically launch Powersuite at startup, schedule scans to be run automatically, undo changes. Please note though that by using the trial Lite version you won’t have access to all the features presented above. You will need to get a Powersuite Pro license to be able to fully enjoy Powersuite’s functionality. Powersuite is a must have tool if you care about your computer’s performance.
